Do you need a cheap flight to another country or just to another city? The price of flying can be very high, to the point that it might prevent you from taking a vacation that you want to experience. You first option is to fly on a Tuesday. As odd as it sounds, this is when flights are the very cheapest. A flight that would cost you five hundred dollars on a Friday might only cost three hundred dollars on a Tuesday. This seems odd, but it is the law of supply and demand in action. The flight does not cost the airline any more money on the weekends, but they know that most people want to travel on these days. If you can move your plans around so that you fly both in and out on a Tuesday, you will save a lot.

The next option is to wait for a last minute flight. Many times, planes leave the airport with only half of the seats full. The airlines do not like to have this happen, of course, since it still costs them a lot of money to send the plane even if it is not full. If you wait and buy your tickets at the last minute, you can get them for cost. The airline does not want to make a profit off of you; they just want to make sure that they do not lose any money.

Finally, you should try to fly out of the large airports that act as regional hubs. Flying out of a small airport is usually a few hundred dollars more. It will also cost you some time since you will just fly to a hub airport anyway.
